Open-source parametric 3D CAD with assemblies, drawings, FEM and CAM, scriptable from Python and AI agents over MCP

Loböle is an open-source parametric CAD application built on OpenCASCADE B-Rep modeling with a Vulkan viewport. A single command layer is driven by the GUI, Python scripts and AI agents alike. It is Linux-first, with Windows builds available and macOS untested; version 0.1 may have rough edges. Features include a constraint sketcher with stable topological naming, variables, configurations, sheet metal and bent tube; assemblies with mates, motion studies, clash checks, exploded views, BOM and standard fasteners; drawings exported to SVG and PDF; static and modal FEM plus topology optimization; and CAM for 2.5D, 3-axis and 4th-axis milling posted for Mach3, LinuxCNC or GRBL, with simulation verification. Versioning with branches and merges is backed by git. A JSON-RPC interface, Python SDK and MCP server expose every GUI command, and a terminal panel can run an agent inside the window. It supports STEP, IGES, STL, OBJ, BREP, DXF, SVG, glTF, PLY and PDF interchange. Available as AppImage, .deb, Windows installer, Nix, Flatpak, headless container and pip package, licensed under AGPL-3.0.
