Find Rust tests whose mutant detection is already covered by the tests you keep

cargo-test-prune is a Cargo subcommand that uses mutation testing (via cargo-mutants) to measure which deliberate bugs each Rust test catches, then proposes a smaller test set with the same observed detection. It reports evidence for review and never deletes tests. It copies the workspace to a temporary directory, runs each test individually against baseline and mutated code, and applies weighted set cover with local search to select retained tests. Users can pin tests with --keep, weight by runtime, replay saved JSON reports, and export Mermaid diagrams per removal candidate. Aimed at Rust developers whose test suites have grown (for example through AI-assisted regression tests) and who want evidence on which tests still add value. The MVP supports standard libtest unit and integration tests in self-contained workspaces. MIT licensed.
