Our take: It's a big world out there. While you're sitting at your desk vibe coding, seven billion other people are living their own interesting lives. And wherever they are, there are local radio stations playing local music, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Radiocast lets you pick a place - nearly anywhere in the world - and drop into the life of your long-lost-cousin in that country, sitting at his or her desk, vibe coding their own app, or taking care of their kids, or tending their cattle, but in any case listening to the radio in the background. The UI is incredibly intuitive: you see a map, with 8,000 (!!!) dots on it, each dot representing a local radio station. From Estonia to Ethiopia, Norway to North Korea (yes, there are two live channels on North Korea), you can tune in instantly for free.

It's hard to overstate how cool this is. It's often rather jarring, in the best way: we're not sure what we expected from Radio Pyongyang, but it wasn't upbeat jazzy orchestral numbers in Korean. On the other hand, the music in Angola was exactly as dope as we expected. If you find the map overwhelming, you can pick a random channel, and there are other great quality-of-life features like a dark mode and a sleep timer.

Put simply, this is an amazing app - the kind of product that makes us excited for the future of vibe coding. Now excuse us, we have to get back to Marrakechplus (that's 96.3 FM, Marrakesh, Morocco).

Their spin: Building my dream world radio app with AI.

Check it out and rotate the 🌍

7,000+ radio stations, ⌘+K for easy search and actions, save your favorites and recent stations, filter by mood and genre, use a sleep timer, and more.
