Our take: One of the most amazing things about the vibe coding revolution is how it democratizes building. We now regularly see sophisticated products created by non-technical founders - many of them extremely young.
We're not the only one to notice this, and there's an entire ecosystem of offers for college students who are trying to build software with AI. In fact, there's so much out there it's hard to keep track - or was hard, until now, because Berkeley undergrad (go Bears) Mason Arditi has vibe coded a comprehensive and easy-to-navigate list of free stuff for collegiate creators.
For now, Build in College is very simple - a list of free resources available to college students like Claude credits and free Figma Pro (with helpful notes on how to access), and another list of Fellowships targeted at young builders. There's no login required, which we love, though Mason cleverly asks for your email when you click on a link. Vibe coders take notice: offer value first, then ask for email. This is the right UX pattern!
We look forward to seeing Build in College expand, both in terms of offers and users, in the near future!
Their spin: Curated free tools, software credits, and fellowships for college builders. Everything you need to build without breaking the bank.
